The Project team (Dr. Wael Khairy and Eng. AyaAllah Yasser) had participated in the 9th Annual MED-WET Project’s Consortium Partners Meeting in Malta from (11-16 June 2023), discussed the status of completion of each project work package, activities, challenges, and addressed means to resolve it, as well as reviewed the status of the workplan. The experimental pilot of low-cost engineering constructed instream wetland treatment in Sekem Farm El-Wahat El-Baharia starts working efficiently and its treated water is currently used to irrigate the tree belt surrounding the Sekem farm. The project’s consortium partners meeting achieved its targets and concluded successfully. The upcoming MED-WET’s consortium partners meeting shall be held in Egypt in April 2024.
